Robert Marcom
Robert is an anthropologist, archaeologist, and writer based in Ecuador. With decades of fieldwork and teaching experience, they have explored Indigenous cosmologies, Andean reciprocity, and the living traditions of the Amazon and Andes.
Their career bridges academic research and lived practice: excavating historical layers, teaching anthropology, and engaging directly with communities where reciprocity (*Ayni*) is lived daily. This journey has shaped their understanding of wisdom not as information stored, but as relationship enacted — always reciprocal, always in motion.
Vision for Yachay Muyu
Through Yachay Muyu, the founder seeks to create a circle of wisdom that transcends boundaries of geography and language. It is a forum where Andean and Amazonian values of balance and harmony can meet global voices to co-create coherence.
This vision is grounded in the belief that cultural exchange is not appropriation, but reciprocity when undertaken with respect. Yachay Muyu is both an offering and an invitation: to share, to listen, and to weave a world in tune.

“Yachay Muyu is not mine alone — it is a circle that belongs to all who enter it with respect. My role is simply to hold the space, share what I can, and keep the circle open for the wisdom that emerges between us.”
